A Savannah Bucket List That Is Perfect for Spring

One could argue that spring is the most vibrant and lively of all the seasons. With themes of renewal and blooms abounding, this milder time of year speaks to all things dainty, nature-centric, and reflective. If you ask us, this makes it the perfect time to enjoy Savannah, a place full of beauty and wonder. But with so much to do in the Hostess City, what should you prioritize before spring leaves us until next year? We’re here to answer that! Here is a Savannah bucket list that is perfect for spring.

Take a Riverboat Cruise

How better to take in the splendor of Savannah’s spring than on the water? With brunch, lunch, and dinner cruises, sunset and sightseeing specialties, Savannah Riverboat Cruises is the way to go! Gather a group of family and friends, buy your tickets, and spend some time taking in the Hostess City from atop its beloved waters.

Have Afternoon Tea at Gryphon Tea Room

There is something about spring that feels, as we said before, delicate and dainty … and perfect for a spot of tea! Maybe this is just us, but we think taking a formal afternoon tea feels like a spring thing. For tea lovers, it’s surely an any season thing (and who can resist a warm cup in winter). Still, a Savannah bucket list for spring wouldn’t be complete without this idea. Gryphon Tea Room tends to be a favorite. Here is an extra fun idea (especially if you have little ladies to entertain): Dress up in your Sunday best and maybe even find yourself a fascinator. Go all out for your teatime!

Explore Historic Gardens, Cemeteries, and Parks

Alongside its delicious culinary opportunities and world-renowned arts and culture scene, Savannah is known for its lushness. Maybe it’s thanks to the precedent set by our City Squares or perhaps it’s because of our proximity to mountains, ocean, and forest alike. Whatever the reason, we are a place in love with the natural world. And spring is when it comes most alive, so add some exploring to your Savannah bucket list for the season! We love Culture Trip’s list of The Best Green Spaces to Visit in Savannah, Georgia.

Sip Cocktails on the Rooftop at Bar Julien

Anytime you’re looking to take in the beauty of Savannah, Bar Julien is a must. As the highest rooftop bar in the city, it offers an unmatched vista. But of course, here is the bonus: an amazing menu. The food is delectable and the cocktails are a whole experience. Our recommendation is to test out Sages & Elders from the apertivi section.

As items for a Savannah bucket list go, we think these make a great addition in any season. But especially for spring, these four are must-dos! So, add them to a list or, better yet, your calendar. And if you do spend some time with our neighbors at Bar Julien, be sure to tag #EasternWharf and #UpperEastRiver in your social media snaps. 😉
