You can linger in the open spaces and on the terraces, or stroll beyond the buildings and walkways of Upper East River to Eastern Wharf. It’s hard to believe there’s so much to do, and you’re only minutes from your front door.
Inspired by history
The George Meyer House was named after the owner of what was once Savannah’s largest beer bottling establishment. Meyer was an innovator, and in the late 1800s, the improvements he made to the beer bottling process paved the way to great business success and significant economic growth for Savannah.
The Geo. Meyer House was architecturally inspired by other historic buildings in Savannah, like the Old Market House and the Savannah Waterworks Pump House. It’s borrowed many of the same details, like the curved windows, stone cornices and lintels, and brick corbels. With the mix of modern day amenities and the history of centuries-old classic architecture, The Geo. Meyer House is the ideal centerpiece for the Upper East River community.
