Every great city has a music scene, and when it comes to Savannah, it’s filled with soul. From jazz performances at the Thompson Savannah to music festivals by the beach, we’ve always experienced plenty of exciting musical events. And now, with new districts and venues popping up and the arts and culture community thriving in the midst of it, all things music are growing in the Hostess City. Let’s talk updates and happenings on the music scene … it’s time for some Savannah soul.
The Park at Eastern Wharf

As a part of the new Eastern Wharf district, we here at Upper East River are undeniably big fans of the area. But music lovers are soon to be even more enthused with our new live, work, play sector. Because The Park at Eastern Wharf is already proving a destination for fantastic artists thanks to its monthly concert series!
These events offer lawn seating, sweet breezes, good eats thanks to the adjacent food trucks, and, of course, great tunes. The next free concert will take place on Thursday, September 15th.
Check out the full schedule of upcoming events here.

Our new districts really are investing in Savannah soul. Joining The Park at Eastern Wharf in exciting new venues is District Live at Plant Riverside. Powered by Live Nation, this hip new spot will bring regional and national artists to the stage.
You can sign up to receive emails about upcoming District Live shows and events. But soonest on the schedule are Badfish on Wednesday, September 21st, and The Orange Constant on Friday, September 23rd.
Savannah Jazz
This legend of Savannah soul is doing big things this year! The organization has hosted many exciting artists and will continue to do so, with concerts lined up for the next several months. But for Hostess City music lovers, the main event promises to be the festival, which begins September 19th.
Trust us when we say, this year’s event lineup is worth the hype. From Latin Dance Night to Blues Night, Savannah Jazz’s annual festival is bringing the fun.
Tybee Post Music Festival
If you have a blast at the Savannah Jazz Festival and want more fun, don’t forget about Tybee Post Theater’s Tybee Post Music Festival! Beginning on November 12th, it will play host to Passafire, Cordovas, and more!
With food and an awesome ambience, this festival is going to be a highlight of fall.
Enmarket Arena

Of course, although we’re thrilled about the development of smaller local venues, we also can’t overlook the powerhouse that is Enmarket Arena. The stadium-style spot provides an opportunity for huge artists to visit Savannah.
It’s always a good idea to keep tabs on the schedule over there. This fall and winter, Enmarket will host Pitbull, Widespread Panic, Reba McEntire, and Andrea Bocelli. It’s quite the lineup!
