Signed, sealed … trademarked. Well, that’s not how the age-old saying goes, but it’s a big week here at Upper East River so we’re going with it! The name ‘Upper East River’ is officially a registered word and our logo is trademarked through the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Officially trademarked in the United States, our upscale riverfront community is making a name for itself, both along the Savannah River and across the country. All products and services stamped with the official Upper East River logo are ours. A trademark protects a word, name, slogan, or logo that connects a product with the maker of that product from being used by anyone else. Upper East River joins some of the most notifiable logos, images and brands on the registered list, such as the Nike swoosh, the McDonald’s golden arches, or the CBS eye … to name just a few.
Trademarks are such a valuable asset to business. They’re an effective communication tool and can make it easy for your customers to find the real you! Did you know? Trademarks never expire. Some of the most recognized brands in the United States today have been around for over a hundred years. And we can’t wait to look back in one hundred years and remember this day!
So next time you see the black wrought-iron gates on top of the River blue block text that reads “Upper East River,” remember the one-of-a-kind neighborhood in Savannah’s historic district along the Savannah River. The Upper East River residents and family are proud of this much-deserved, elevated brand recognition!
